Fluoride is hard to escape in the USA. Its small enough that it cant be filtered with basic activated carbon water filters, and is found in most of our drinking water. We have to spend more money to purchase food that isnt toxic and actually contains usable nutrition. We have to spend more money to purchase water distillers to purify our water not from biological dangers, but from chemical wastes from industrial production. We have to pay higher prices for clothing that isnt toxic to our skin and doesnt destroy our environment. We also may begin paying premium prices for water altogether, very soon. How will future generations describe this time period in history? Are we to be seen as we see the ignorance of ages past, as those who believed it heresy to state the world was not flat, as those who believed bleeding and leeching a patient clarified the blood, and as those who believed a lifetime of self inflicted wounds and pain would provide a higher place in the afterlife? We think of ourselves as belonging to some enlightened age of reason, but I believe these cognitive dark ages are marked by such characteristics as the hegemony dumping its industrial wastes into the water supply and reassuring its populace that its good for their teeth.
